October 10, 2017: “Today isn’t the first day of autumn, but it is certainly the first day that has felt like autumn. Inspired by preparing (more like repairing) my autumn woodland fairy costume for the upcoming trip with Lucid Mind Coalition (art club) to the Texas Renaissance Festival, I created today’s painting. It reminds me of a cyclical change, on that is, although a segue to winter, introducing a season of warmth, coziness, intimacy, and aloneness with Christ by the fire.”
